Now if you already know about Presorting, Automation and Saturation, you may be scratching your head saying, “That’s not a secret!” Even so, we have encountered countless businesses that are spending twice the amount on postage than they need to! In fact, most companies that use direct mail services are not taking advantage of the terrific discounts that the United States Postal Service offers on postage. Why? Because many Direct Mail services do not have the capabilities necessary to prepare your mail for the post office the way they require in order to get those discounts. We do.

What is Presorting and Automation?

Presorting is a very simple concept. We use software approved by the USPS that “presorts” mail by address, thereby reducing the amount of work that the post office has to do. Automation creates even less work for the post office. We “automate” by placing a bar code on each piece of mail so that the post office can handle the mail a lot faster and a lot easier. In turn, the post office offers substantial discounts for both of these services.

What is Saturation Mailing?

Saturation Mailing is optional. It means that you are mailing your piece to every resident who resides within a specific mail carrier route. A mail carrier route is exactly what it sounds like: a route that one particular mail carrier has at one time. Your mail piece is easily delivered to everyone along the route which makes it easier for the post office to sort your mail.

Us vs. Them

Our mailing services cost $.08 per piece with a $50 set-up fee if you are sending under 5,000 pieces. If you send more than 5,000, the set-up fee is free. Our services lower your postage costs at least $.10 per piece, but usually more. It all depends on what type of mailing list you choose. To save the most, we recommend a saturation list which we show you how to create. It’s very easy. Below is an average of how much we typically save our customers.

Our Process is Simple

We’ve given you a lot of information above, but the process for you is quite simple. All you have to do is follow three easy steps. Actually, two easy steps . . . because we do the third. Better yet, we can do all three of them for you if you’d like.

1) Mailing List

Your Direct Mail campaign starts with creating your mailing list.

By Proximity - If you are targeting the people that are in close proximity to your business, we highly suggest you choose a Saturated mailing list to get the best discount on postage possible (as low as $.14/piece). We will be glad to walk you through this simple process. We will send you a free map of your area showing the zip codes and mail carrier routes closest to you. Then we will help you choose the carrier routes that are best for your mailing. It's that simple. You can include or exclude any particular route you like, even if they are right next to each other. This is a real bonus if you know exactly which neighborhoods you would like to target. You can virtually set up a mailing list that most closely reflects the demographics of your target group, and suits your needs most!

By Demographics - For some businesses, proximity is not as important as demographics. If you want to be very specific about the Age, Gender, Income, Home Value, etc. of your target group, then this is the best type of list to choose. But you will still receive substantial discounts on postage due to our automation and presorting capabilities.

2) Design

If you don't have a graphic designer, we will design for you!

You can choose from 3 different sizes:

Small - 4" x 6"
Large - 6" x 9"
Jumbo - 6" x 11"

Quality - Our postcards are printed on thick 14pt cardstock and are UV Glossy on the front side, giving your mail the highest quality look and feel, not to mention vibrant color. (Note: the back cannot be glossy according to USPS standards).

If you have a designer, make sure to let them know to design your postcard according to the following specifications:

Press Ready PDF (preferred)
Maximum Quality JPG or TIFF (zipped)

3) Print and Send!

Once your postcard is designed, we will print the number of pieces you need, address and sort them, and get them in the mail. We take care of this for you! You can relax, sit back and know that your mail is on the way to your targeted mailboxes!
